Happy Tuesday! Hope you recovered from the Super Bowl. I wasn’t too terribly surprised with the outcome. But at least the half time show as pretty awesome.
Speaking of awesome, let’s talk about this week’s specials. Our featured soup this week is Jess’s Vegan Hot & Sour Vegetable soup with soba. Feel free to add chicken to this soup for only $1. Pair it with Peticolas Royal Scandal

Our Soup of the Day has a little south of the border action with Cristina’s Homemade Chicken Tortilla Soup. It’s a spicy soup, so try it with a Deep Ellum IPA. Next on the list is our Appetizer of the Day: Grilled “Lokal Yokal” Beer Brats with Red Cabbage & Pepper Sauerkraut, Honey-Dijon Dressing & Paisano Toast. Brats is just a fancy way of saying pan fry or roast. Those brats will go great with Peticolas Golden Opportunity. And for the main Feature, enjoy Billy’s Badass Coconut Poached Tuna with Red Onions, Celery, Haberno Pickles & Mayo served on Paisano Bread with Sprouts. Pair that with St Arnold’s Christmas Ale.

This weekend our featured entree is Slow Braised Kobe Beef Short Ribs. It’s served with home fries cooked in duck fat, baby carrots, beet puree, and aus jus (a fancy way of saying natural juices). We suggest you have a Deep Ellum IPA with your plate of ribs.
For our leaf lovin’ friends this weekend we have a Spinach Salad with braised fennel, orange supremes, toasted pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries and an orange vinaigrette. We suggest you order a Royal Scandal to pair with this sweet salad.
